Our Goal

Women love NASCAR racing just as much as men. In fact, women tend to be more passionate about their favorite drivers than men and aren't afraid to stand up for him even on a bad day.

Skirts and Scuffs started in October 2009 and is out to debunk the stereotype that women are only into racing, especially NASCAR, because their husbands are into it, they have a crush on Dale Jr., or because they think that maybe one day they can “land” a driver of their own. We are out to prove that women are into racing for the action, thrill, and even the science behind it. We aren't a site devoted to who's on what drivers arm on race weekend and we aren't about finding that perfect outfit to wear to the race. We aren't a feminist site and we aren't out to bash the men covering the sport. We are merely giving women a place where their voices will be heard over the roar of the engines. Our writers come from all walks of life and all age ranges. Some of our writers have been published on other sites and in print magazines while others are first timers just hoping to share their views with the world.

This site is written and maintained 100% by women. We encourage women to stand up and be proud of one of the greatest sports on the planet and hope that our comments, reactions, and coverage will be taken seriously.

Advertise with Skirts and Scuffs

Are you the owner of a website that features content that's NASCAR or Motorsports related? Are you a company looking to get the word out about a product that NASCAR fans might be interested in?

Skirts and Scuffs is the perfect venue to share your product/site/services with the NASCAR community.

We are a group of women who love the sport of NASCAR and are out to prove that we follow racing because we like the action and not because drivers look "hot" in their firesuits. Launched in October 2009 the site is home to more than a dozen writers with a wide range of experience.

Skirts and Scuffs is all about promoting the female writers covering the sport and because of this we are tuned into the top social networking sites. In addition to a Skirts and Scuffs fan page on Facebook we also use Twitter extensively.

We have several advertising locations open and would love the opportunity to work with you to promote your site. 

Money generated from advertisements will be used for future upgrades to the site including domain name purchase, hosting services, and an ad free forum for our readers and writers to hang out and talk about racing. Money will also be used to purchase NASCAR related merchandise for future giveaways to be held on the site.


Interested advertisers will be provided with site stats including Alexa rating, Google PR, and unique hit counts and visits to Skirts and Scuffs over a 30 day period.
