Busch vs. Busch: Atlanta
Kyle Busch
Truck Series: Busch finished third in the first practice. He started second (as he would in Cup) to Ron Hornaday, who beat him by .073. On lap one, he had contact with Hornaday, causing damage to right front and a tire rub for Hornaday. Both were then passed by Matt Crafton. The contact with Hornaday eventually caught up with both of them, causing Hornaday to wreck on lap 17 and leaving Busch to have an extended pit stop to fix the damage. He managed to work his way back up to the front and stayed there for a good portion of the race. He finished second to Kevin Harvick.
Also in the Truck series, it's important to remeber Busch is now an owner, responsible for the No. 56 truck of Tayler Malsam, who finished 17th.
NNS: There was no NNS race this weekend but Busch currently stands second in points.
Cup Series: Busch finished second in first practice. He had the pole at one point, but qualified second after Dale Earnhardt Jr. beat him by .072. He took the lead from Jr. on lap one but had a rough day. Kasey Kahne took the lead away from him for a good portion of the race and on lap 73 he said his right front tire was going down. He finally pitted under green on lap 76, putting him a lap down. The rest of his day was quiet and uneventful and he finished 25th … and unhappy.
