Kurt Busch Makes NHRA Debut

Kurt Busch made his NHRA (National Hot Rod Association) debut this weekend in Gainsville, FL.

His debut didn't last long, as he made one qualifying run and was eliminated in the first round in the Super Gas division of the Sportsman class at the NHRA Gatornationals during a rare NASCAR off weekend.

Busch raced in a 1970 Dodge Challenger, which he helped rebuild himself, and took 10.10 seconds to get across the 1,000 foot drag strip. He was in the 9.90 second division, thus eliminating him this past Sunday.

Busch will be back behind the wheel of his No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge for Penske Racing this weekend at Bristol Motor Speedway.
