Miss Coors Light to Make Debut at Loudon

CHICAGO (September 9, 2010) – Coors Light, the official beer of NASCAR®, is welcoming a new member to its racing family as it unveils Rachel Rupert as the first-ever Miss Coors Light. Kicking off her reign at the Loudon race September 19, Rachel will represent Coors Light at track and in race markets for the 2010 "Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup™" races and then return for the full 2011 NASCAR season.

Rachel was chosen from more than 100 applicants to become the new Miss Coors Light based on a variety of factors, including her passion for the sport. In her new role, she will interact with fans and drivers during at-track appearances, Coors Light-sponsored events and online. Rachel also will present the Coors Light Pole Award each week to the top NASCAR Sprint Cup Series™ and NASCAR Nationwide Series™ qualifiers. And beginning in 2011, she will appear on Coors Light’s NASCAR®-themed point-of-sale materials.

"We are thrilled to introduce Rachel as the first-ever Miss Coors Light," said Ryan Luckey, sports and entertainment marketing director at MillerCoors. "Not only are we excited that Rachel will be joining the Coors Light racing family, but we’re confident her genuine enthusiasm for NASCAR® will rub off on all of the fans she meets as she travels to every race."

Rachel’s knowledge of NASCAR and her long-held enthusiasm for the sport were integral factors in the decision to select her as Miss Coors Light. Growing up in a NASCAR family, Rachel watched racing every Sunday with her dad and attended the Bristol race at the age of seven. She is a fan of short-track racing and lists Martinsville as her favorite track.

"I’m beyond excited to be the first Miss Coors Light and cannot wait to get to Loudon next week," said Rachel. "I grew up going to races and watching NASCAR® with my dad, so it truly is a lifelong dream come true to be a part of NASCAR and be the new face for Coors Light."
