The NASCAR driver and the former Chandra Janway were married in December 2004. Johnson met his future wife through Hendrick Motorsports teammate and good friend Jeff Gordon.
Johnson, 33, made NASCAR history when he won his fourth consecutive championship last season. The Associated Press recognized Johnson as Male Athlete of the Year, the first racecar driver to win the award in its 78-year history.
Johnson is the latest driver preparing for the birth of his firstborn. Carl Edwards and his wife, Kate, are expecting a daughter in February, while Elliot Sadler and his wife, Amanda, will welcome a son in March.
