NASCAR drivers and country artists come together in Nashville

This weekend, the worlds of NASCAR and country music will collide as the fifth annual Sprint Sound and Speed festival kicks off in Nashville on Friday night and goes through Saturday.

Proceeds from the event benefit the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Victory Junction Gang Camp.

The Ryman Auditorium, the former and sometimes current home of the Grand Ole Opry, will play host to performers including Hank Williams Jr., American Idol alum Danny Gokey, Jason Michael Carroll and Chris Young.

NASCAR driver Kyle Petty and his band are even expected take the Ryman stage to perform on Friday night.

On Saturday, festivities will move to Nashville's Municipal Auditorium, where country music artists and NASCAR personalities will participate in autograph and question-and-answer sessions with fans.

Among the NASCAR drivers scheduled to participate are Petty, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Tony Stewart, Kyle Busch, Greg Biffle, Denny Hamlin, Kasey Kahne, Brad Keselowski, Carl Edwards, Clint Bowyer and Michael Waltrip, among others.
