Sprint Cup Race Lineup: McMurray Takes Pole for Pepsi Max 400

The number 1 McDonald’s Chevrolet driven by Daytona 500 and Brickyard 400 Champion Jamie McMurray leads the pack at the Auto Club Speedway capturing the pole for both races at the track in the 2010 season with a lap of 38.859 (185.285 mph.).  You think that McDonald’s will be fueling the race tomorrow for the team with the power in the ECR engines?  Also on the front row is the No. 19 Reynolds Ford driven by Elliott Sadler with a lap only -0.185 behind McMurray with a lap of 39.044 (184.407 mph.).

This is the fourth race in the Cup for the Chase for the 2010 season, this is also the last race in the Chase for the track, what kind of records will be made?  Will a chaser or non-chaser win, if it is a chaser will it be one of the three whom have already won?  Greg Biffle who won the race at Kansas Speedway last weekend lead the first of two practices today with a lap of 181.837 mph.  Going to be a fun race, good luck to the all the drivers tomorrow!

Starting Lineup Pocono Raceway: The Sunoco Red Cross Pennsylvania 500

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series returns to the Pocono mountains this Sunday for the Sunoco Red Cross Pennsylvania 500. The track known as the “Tricky Triangle” is a 2.5 mile tri-oval and is undoubtedly the most distinct shaped track on the circuit.

Starting from the pole is Tony Stewart who on Friday qualified with a time of 52.511 seconds (171.393 MPH). Stewart is looking for his first win in 2010 and is hoping to move up from 9th in the points.

Joining Stewart on the front row is Juan Pablo Montoya. Both will have to fight off Denny Hamlin who has won the last two races at Pocono.

Keselowski Takes Pole, Patrick to Start 25th: New England 200 – New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NNS)

With a time of 29.376 seconds (129.657) Brad Keselowski will start from the pole position for Saturday's New England 200 from New Hampshire Motor Speedway. This will be Keselowski’s third pole of the 2010 season and his sixth in 120 Nationwide Series starts.

Although he qualified for the race Payton Sellers in the #25 will not race in the event. It was determined the the team used unapproved fuel. The #39, driven by Charles Lewandoski, will take the final starting position.

Defending race winner Kyle Busch will start in the 4th position with media darling Danica Patrick starting 25th.


The New England 200 will be televised on ESPN at 2:30 p.m. with green flag scheduled for 3:46 p.m.

Kahne Captures Pole at Infineon

With a time of 76.300 seconds (93.893 MPH) Kasey Kahne will start from the pole position in Sunday’s Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Infineon Raceway. The pole is Kahne’s 17th of his Sprint Cup Series career and his first at the California road course and his first of 2010. Starting alongside Kahne will be Jimmie Johnson.

The Toyota/Save Mart 350 will air Sunday June 20, 2010 on TNT at 3pm Eastern with Green Flag at 3:19pm
