Kim Kardashian Goes NASCAR

The Kardashians have Gone NASCAR!

Kim explains it all:

"I have to tell you about this amazing sweepstakes Sephora and I are doing! One grand-prize winner and a guest will be flown out to Las Vegas to meet me at my fragrance event at Sephora at the Venetian and attend my launch after-party at Tao!! Tao is one of my favorite clubs in Vegas... you guys will LOVE IT!

And... the part I'm most excited for... you will come to the Shelby American NASCAR Sprint Cup Series event to help me cheer on my car! I can't believe I actually have my own NASCAR racing car! No one has seen this yet, so this is your exclusive first look at my car! What do you think?"

On Feb. 28 Mike Bliss will be behind the wheel of the Kim Kardashian #36 Shelby American NASCAR Sprint Cup Series car at the Las Vegas 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The car is a 200-mph ad for her fragrance that launched on Feb. 4 in Florida just in time for Valentine's Day.

The car is sponsored by Tommy Baldwin Racing, Lighthouse Beauty Marketing and Kim Kardashian herself. Kardashian will be also making a special appearance at the track: she'll not only debut her new fragrance as part of her line of beauty products available at Sephora.com, but she will also serve as grand marshall for the race.

  1. This is awesome for Tommy Baldwin Racing, Kim Kardashian and the female fan base of NASCAR. We need more marketing efforts directed at the women in NASCAR including the fans. Now and again, one company pops up, but generally most of the marketing is directed at our male counterparts. Now, I'm not against motor oil, beer, soft drinks, headache remedies or auto parts, but seeing beauty products splayed over the hood of a car wouldn't be worst thing in the world. Lord knows, we've seen Viagra and now Extenze sponsors, what does it take to get a Tampax or Kotex sponsorship? Just saying... :-)
