Suave Men to sponsor Kelly Bires for pair of Nationwide races
MOORESVILLE, N.C. (Feb. 16, 2010) – JR Motorsports announced the addition of Suave® Men to its sponsor lineup for 2010, further extending its partnership with Unilever, the brand’s parent company. Suave Men, personal care products designed for men, will serve as primary sponsor of the JR Motorsports No. 88 Chevrolet at Nashville Superspeedway on April 3 and Chicagoland Speedway on July 9 with driver Kelly Bires.
Additionally, the brand’s logo will receive associate sponsor placement on driver uniforms throughout the season.
“Racing is all about performance – from the success of the team to winning on the track. Suave Men carries those same performance credentials when it comes to the shower, offering guys the right tools to stay clean and fresh,” said David Rubin, marketing director for Suave. “We’re thrilled to be partnering with a high-performing team like JRM and are excited to welcome Kelly Bires and all fans of NASCAR into the Suave Men family.”
Bires joined JR Motorsports last September and is scheduled to drive the No. 88 Chevrolet in 2010. The 25-year-old Mauston, Wis., native made his first start for the team in the 2009 season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Bires has had success at Nashville Superspeedway with two top-fives and three top-10s in his last four starts. Bires finished seventh in the NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Chicagoland Speedway last year.
“I’m very excited to be partnering with Suave Men this season, especially at tracks where I’ve done well,” Bires said. “I know JR Motorsports has enjoyed representing select Unilever brands the past few years, and to bring a new one on board is always cool. Suave Men is something we can identify with. I look forward to running the Suave Men Chevrolet at Nashville and Chicagoland, and to promoting it throughout the year to the NASCAR fan base.”
Suave Men joins sister Unilever brands Hellmann’s Mayonnaise and Ragu as JR Motorsports partners in 2010.
