Pre-season Skirts and Scuffs Contributor Poll Makes Championship Predictions

As you might have noticed our team has spent the last couple of weeks picking the drivers we feel have what it takes to become the series champions of 2010.

Based on the input of 17 of our contributors the following results were found:


Sprint Cup Series Champion: By a narrow margin our writers chose Tony Stewart to win his third series title. Stewart received 4 votes. Gordon came in second with three votes. Johnson, Kurt Busch, Mark Martin, and Denny Hamlin had two votes. Single votes went to Carl Edwards and Matt Kenseth.


Nationwide Series Champion: For our contributors this was the hardest choice. Most agreed that a cup driver would win the Nationwide Series but which one is up for debate. With 7 vote we are giving the title to Carl Edwards. It should be noted that the vote was tied between Edwards and Keselowski but with Kiara’s second choice being Carl the vote goes to him. Two vote were recorded for Justin Allgaier and one vote for Jason Leffler and Colin Braun.


Camping World Truck Series Champion: With nearly half of the contributors who participated picking Matt Crafton he is our obvious choice for the 2010 Camping World Truck Series Champion. Defending champ Ron Hornaday had five votes while Mike Skinner, Justin Lofton, Todd Bodine, and Austin Dillon received one vote each. One contributor chose not to answer this question as she does not follow the truck series.
