Jeff Gordon to become a dad for second time

The NASCAR baby boom continues.

Jeff Gordon announced via his Web site Jeffgordon.com that he and his wife, Ingrid Vandebosch, are awaiting the birth of their second child:

"Hey fans, Ingrid and I wanted to be the first to tell you (ok maybe not the first, but not far from it) the exciting news that Ingrid is 12 weeks pregnant and expecting our second child. We're very excited and can't wait to expand our family to four. Ella is also very excited and can't stop talking about how much she's looking forward to being a big sister. JG"

Vandebosch is due to give birth in August, the four-time Sprint Cup champion said today at NASCAR Media Day.

Gordon and Vandebosch, a model and actress, were married in November 2006. They welcomed daughter Ella Sofia in June 2007.

Looks like the Gordon family's new addition will have a few playmates. Gordon's teammate Jimmie Johnson and his wife, Chandra, are expecting their first child in July. Carl Edwards and his wife, Kate, will welcome a daughter any day now, while Elliot Sadler and his wife, Amanda, are expecting a son in the coming weeks. Juan Pablo Montoya and his wife, Connie, are awaiting the birth of their third child in July.

Skirts and Scuffs congratulates Jeff and Ingrid on their expanding family!
